Tabatha Brisk

Background:
Tabatha's father died when she was little; she watched him fade away without being able to help, and felt frustrated and helpless.  She has wanted to help people ever since.  She started volunteer work at Soldier's Memorial Hospital during her last two years of high school, and knew then that she wanted to get involved in nursing.  She later decided to become a doctor as well, attending Starfleet Medical from 2368 until completing finals in 2376.  From 2372 to 2374 she worked in a hospital-related program for senior graduates, then went full-time with the hospital until 2378.  Her husband Matthew was a professor at Starfleet Medical until his unfortunate death in 2378, while Tab was serving aboard the Arcadia.  She returned to Earth to attend his funeral and personal affairs, the only time she has ever taken leave from duty.  She completed her doctorate in 2379, served as Chief Medical Officer of the Arcadia until 2382, at which time the ship was decommissioned, then rejoined the ship when it relaunched in 2385.

In Memory of Tabatha Brisk 1974-2002
Tabatha Brisk of Listuguj, Quebec, was a real person, who played this self-named character since Arcadia began.  She died in April of 2002.  In her memory, the character of "Tabatha Brisk" has been kept as a mainstay on the Arc.  Although the position of Chief Medical Officer may be claimed by another contributing writer, as Tab would have wanted, her character and spirit is, and will forever be, part of Arcadia.  She will not be forgotten.  Rest in peace, Tabby.  You are missed.
