Physical description: Terran Caucasian male; medium build.  Often "smells" due to lack of bathing.

Special Interests: Technical areas.  Loves to tinker with electronics and engineering.

Born to a single father who worked as the Midas Colony's only technician.  Balic grew up loving to help his father and became knowledgeable of technical systems and engineering.  His colony was not part of the Empire, having been started by rebels from the Empire.

Soon after Balic's 16th birthday an Empire vessel attacked the colony, killing Balic's father and recruiting him into the Empire.  Ever since he has served with total loyalty.

Balic has no followings to anyone declaring themselves better than him.  He chooses to award his unwavering loyalty to whoever treats him like he wishes and respects him.  If he likes that person they shall have his unquestionable loyalty.  He has grown slightly mad and chooses to keep to himself and do his own thing.

Balic isn't stupid, as some may assume.  He picks his causes carefully, and while he may disagree with the actions of the crew which continually act against his morals, he is willing to forget many of them.  He will however fight for his own causes regardless of anyone else.  He considers himself clever and while not easily approachable is willing to forgive and forget many actions taken against him.  He is never one for revenge or prejudice and prefers to treat all equally with distrust until they prove themselves worthy.
